The painting shows the Lotus 49C of Jochen Rindt and the Brabham BT33 driven by Jack Brabham at the 1970 Monaco GP. This was Rindt’s first win in his championship year. Jochen Rindt was one of the most spectacular drivers of his era, in this painting Rindt rounds the Gasworks hairpin having forced triple World Champion Jack Brabham into a mistake on the last corner of the last lap, to take a famous victory.
