"White House"
The picture depicts a Bentley Speed 6, being driven by Glen Kidston at Le Mans in the 1930’s. Old No. 1 is the most significant Bentley, winning amongst other races Le Mans twice in 1929 (Birkin/Barnato) and 1930 (Barnato/Kidston). Note the hydraulic shock absorbers for the 1930 race. The car is shown going round the White House (actually the annexe close to the road) which existed in the 1930’s. Making this a fast blind corner and the scene of a number of “pile-ups” over the years!
